Description: Moderate ride of 43 miles that goes to Guntersville Dam (picnic area) followed by a climb up Grant Mountain via Cottonville. We will regroup at the cemetery near the mountain top. Then the ride crosses over Grant Mtn followed by a turnaround on Anderson Rd and then a Butler Mill descent. The cumulative elevation climb for the entire route is ~1772 ft and the overall average pace will be ~14-15 mph. The link to the cue sheet and map is: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28765812
Rest Stop: Dam @ 14 miles & Store/Station @ 20 miles (just off 431 Highway).
Bring a cue sheet and/or a map and/or a navigation device and also have the phone number of the Ride Leaders and the phone number of at least one friend.
Again, this route is 43 miles long and has 1 mountain climb up Cottonville. Be sure you can do the specified average pace for the distance. If you choose to ride at a much faster pace than the leader or deviate from the route then you are on your own.
