Title: SCCC FRG to Madison County Lake –35 (2 Avg Paces)

Description: This will be a SCCC 35-mile ride with rolling terrain that goes to the scenic Madison County Lake. There will be two average paces (14-15 mph & 13-14 mph) with two Ride Leaders. The slower pace ride is a NRLB. The route has a total elevation gain of ~1060 ft. There is a short 1-mile stretch on Highway 72 during the return. The shoulder on Highway 72 is wide and is relatively clean. Also, the Rock Cut Road is now paved.

Rest Stops: Gurley Mapco station – 7.5 mi (optional) & Madison County Lake ~18.5 miles.
Bring a cue sheet and/or a map and/or Garmin and also have the phone number of the either Ride Leader. It is also recommended that you have the phone number of at least one friend.
Please be sure you can keep the specified pace for the distance for either pace. If you choose to ride at a much faster pace or deviate from the route, then you are on your own.
