Description: Start from Hayes Chapel Baptist Church, 199 St. Clair Rd, New Market, AL 35761. Our first rest stop will be at Crossroads Market 10.8 miles. After the rest stop enjoy a long and shaded descent into Teal Hollow at 11.1 miles. At 19 miles start the climb up to Crystal Ridge and at 21 miles take a moment to enjoy the view down into valley below. CAUTION on Crystal Ridge Road due to steep descent and areas of bad road surface. We can take an optional brief regrouping stop at Cumberland Presbyterian Church 24.3 miles. We will climb Fish Hatchery Road into Flintville and our final rest stop at Flintville Mini Mart 33.1 miles, followed by a few scenic rollers back to New Market.

Please make sure you are familiar with the route. Bring a cue sheet and/or navigational device and have the phone numbers of the Ride Leader and the phone number of at least one friend. Be aware that cell phone service can be spotty. Text message may be the best way to communicate during the ride.
Expected end of ride speed is 14-15 mph but faster on flats and slower on climbs. Riders are expected to generally stay together and watch out for each other. Be confident you can do the stated speed and distance.
If you choose to ride at a much faster speed than the desired average speed or choose to deviate from the route, you are on your own.
