This adds a 1.6-mile, 8 percent average grade climb and about 1-hr 10 min. We may consider a brief refueling stop at McDonald, 6711 US-431, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763, mile 41.3. This would add 1.5 miles, raising the total to 59 miles. If there are takers of Option 1, but no self-sufficient group emerges, then I will lead Option 1. Otherwise, Option 2 for me.
