"Here we go!! Let's officially kick off Saturday morning group rides. This Saturday is looking perfect! Maybe a little cool at the start, but warming up to upper 70s on the day.
To kick things off, I'm pulling out the Airport ride from 1892 that we did last summer. I made two adjustments to it ...
1) Fixed the part where RWGPS wanted us to go through someone's farm at mile ~39.
2) Added the Burwell climb at mile 15. You can still skip this one if you want and just meet the group at Bo Howard Rd.
Rest stop at mile 35 after you cross 231.
Total route is just under 55 miles. If you want a metric, combine a little bit of climbing and head up Bankhead for a loop through the park and that should get you there.
Going to set the rollout time for 8:30 ... a little non-standard, but it gives just a little more time for anyone who wants to do a climb before hand, while also getting us back at a reasonable time.
I'll continue to wrangle group 2 (if there is a group 1). (Edit not in CC post: I expect G2 probably in the 18-19 mph area. G3 welcome to form.) No one rides alone ... if you're falling behind, holler at someone. If you're shorting the route, let me know. I worry."
