Join me for a scenic ride into the Coldwater Creek area of southern Tennessee. Start from New Sharon Senior Center, 783 Butter & Egg Road, Hazel Green, AL 35750 at 7:30 AM. Rest stops will be at Kirkland Grocery 11.9 miles and Taft Dollar General at 27.6 miles. Mostly rollers and hills but there is a long, gentle 3.5-mile climb into Taft.
This is a great training ride for those wanting to complete the AYCE metric century in two weeks, so you will be ready to hit that personal best. I will plan to regroup after the second Molino Road climb and at the top of the climb in Taft. Expected pace will be 14-15 mph, but faster on flats and slower on climbs. A faster group is welcome to form but know the route.
