Description: Start New Hope Civitan Park, City Park Road, New Hope, AL 35760. There is a restroom at the park. We will take a rest stop in Owens Cross Roads at Circle K on Highway 431 at 21.8 miles. After the rest stop, we will head back to New Hope. There are a few hills and rollers but no major climb. CAUTION, we will be in rural areas and road surfaces can be rough. Traffic is generally light but can change at any time. Remain traffic aware.

Expectations: Please make sure you are familiar with the route. Bring a cue sheet and/or navigational device and have the phone numbers of the Ride Leader and the phone number of at least one friend. Be aware that cell phone service can be spotty. Text message may be the best way to communicate during the ride.
Expected end of ride speed is 15+/- mph but faster on flats and slower on climbs. Generally, riders are expected to stay together and watch out for each other. Be confident you can do the stated speed and distance.
If you choose to ride at a much faster speed than the desired average speed or deviate from the route, you are on your own.
